Though it is almost two months ago, I want to send you this e-mail just to
say thank you for the great time you gave me at Playa Panama in november!
The dives I had with you were very special and amazing - thanks once more to
Sergio that he made all the dates with the bullsharks, the big, big manta,
the wales, etc..!!! ;-)
Also thank you for the perfect organization with the hotel, the transfer and
everything!
When I once come back to Costa Rica, I'm sure I'm going to dive with you
again!
You all did a great job!

Sorry its taken so long to write (We
dived with you over the Christmas period 2005 ). We have spent most of our
time back in England telling people what a great time we had in Costa Rica.
Straight to the point then: Vivienne & Robert made this one of the most
amazing holidays we have ever had !
We chose Costa Rica as a diving
holiday destination but it turned out to be so much more. Thanks to Vivienne
we were able to combine trips & adventures seamlessly with the diving
itinerary, making this a holiday like no other before.
We had studied some of the options
available to us prior to our departure from the UK and Vivienne had arranged
for us to have a short stay at Arenal in order to see the volcano at the end
of the holiday.
When we arrived Vivienne collected us
from the Airport & took us to our Hotel (Villa Flores). She arranged for us
to be collected the next morning for diving & discussed our interests &
itinerary. The next day she gave us details of our available options &
designed an itinerary that incorporated everything we wanted to do. She
booked the tickets & arranged all of the necessary transfers – fantastic!
The diving was fabulous & so different
from the normal Red Sea / Caribbean / Maldives diving we are used to. The
boats were fast & well organized – and the guides were helpful & fun. We
particularly enjoyed the trips to the Catalina Islands and the 5m Manta
rays. All of the dives produced fabulous wildlife (Turtles, Whitetip sharks,
Sea Horses, Eagle rays, Harlequin /clown shrimp and huge shoals of fish) but
the topography was also extremely spectacular. This was some of the best
diving I have done anywhere in the world.
Costa Rica itself is a fantastic
holiday even if you don’t dive. The food is great & the bars are friendly.
The trips that Vivienne arranged were all fabulous. We particularly enjoyed
the Riverboat cruse on Christmas day watching the Crocodiles, Monkeys
Iguanas & the beautiful birds. The canopy tour gave us a treetop glimpse of
rain forest life as we zipped along on cables suspended 60 to 100 feet or
more above ground, it was a real adrenaline rush. The Arenal region was
beautiful. During our short stay we went to the volcano, took the
spectacular hanging bridges tour through the rain forest, and enjoyed
bathing in the Tabacon hot springs.
Although the holiday started with our
arrival Liberia Airport – we had arranged to fly back from San Jose. The
coach trip from Arenal to San Jose was fabulous – the road is cut through
the rain forest and the scenery is indescribable. Miles & miles rolling
hills covered in tropical forest leading to the huge & vibrant city of San
Jose (Which is very different to anywhere else in Costa Rica).
I would advise anyone wanting a
holiday with a difference to contact you & let you plan their trip. Thank

We all arrived home safely 2 days ago
to –15C and 10cm of snow coming tonight. I just wanted to say thank you for
everything. Your operation is very professional, all your staff is very
courteous and the dives were fantastic. Special thanks to our dive master
Negro, who took good care of us and showed us your underwater world. We
really enjoyed our stay, although it is never long enough, but we look
forward to coming back someday. Please give my thanks and regards to all.

Hello Viviane -
Just wanted to thank you and your
staff for all the great service on our
Costa Rica trip. Grace was very helpful and took great care of us. Sergio
was an excellent dive master and we appreciated his breaking us up in two
groups on Monday so Greg and I could stay shallow in our dive.
Unfortunately, Greg's foot was very painful from the blister rubbed by the
fin on Sunday, and he didn't want to do two dives that day. We really
appreciate the crew putting us ashore at our hotel.
We did enjoy our diving and our trip
to Costa Rica. Next time, Greg will
bring his own fins.

shark- I think these are the best, though
I have got more (took about 50 in total!!).

Missing Costa Rica at the moment -
it's damp and cold here - we're
expecting -5 degrees tonight!
By the way, I've got a reasonable sea horse photo too.....
Thanks to everybody for a really good
holiday - especially Negro who
worked really hard for us - not easy having 7 Britons who would really
rather stay underwater for an hour each dive!
A couple more, then - the seahorse,
proof that urchins can be beautiful
(when they are not trying to stab you!), and some of those wonderful
shoals of grunts we saw everywhere).

We just wanted to thank you and Resort Divers for a great vacation in Costa Rica! Not only were we fortunate enough to experience amazing life under the sea, but your staff made our time above water terrific as well!
Every single person on your staff was very professional and friendly, and that means a lot! Special thanks to Ma -- a great dive master! And the boat captains did a great job too! We feel like we received first class treatment while diving with you -- it was nice that we didn't have to worry about our gear the whole time we were there!
Thanks again for making our trip to Costa Rica great -- we'll never forget it! We're making plans to see how we can come back again!

Hello Vivianne and Robert,
We are back in the UK now (....8 degrees Centigrade) after a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Thank you both for making the diving and the sightseeing trips work so well.
In the second week we followed Viviane's itinerary and visited the Volcano Arenal, had a great guided wildlife tour around the base of the volcano and sat up to the early hours watching the red hot rocks tumbling down the slopes. Tortugero was superb, used a lot of film on the wildlife, even watched the turtles coming ashore at night to lay their eggs.

on an Explorers holiday
Hello Kate,
We have just returned from a combined diving and sightseeing holiday to Costa Rica arranged through you/Explorers Travel which has proved extremely enjoyable and worthwhile.
We spoke several times on the phone prior to the holiday and I understood that while Explorers could recommend the areas we intended to visit, you did not have more detailed knowledge of the accommodation, diving, and sightseeing opportunities.
I hope the following positive feedback will be helpful to future customers visiting Cost Rica:
Accommodation
At the Playas del Coco resort we stayed at HOTEL VILLA FLORES. The hotel is owned and managed by David & Carolyn Ryan, an American couple who proved excellent hosts, made us welcome and ensured we were comfortable and well catered for throughout our weeks stay. The hotel is close to the centre of Coco, a few minutes walk, and backs onto the main beach. The grounds are delightful for watching the wildlife - hummingbirds, striped tree squirrels, racoons and even the monkeys. I would recommend the hotel.
Resort Divers
Vivianne and Robert Beckers manage RESORT DIVERS at Playas del Coco, they were very helpful and proved a good team. The diving trips were well managed and we both enjoyed the dive sites visited during the week. There was time outside diving for additional sightseeing trips which were arranged by Vivianne, particularly enjoyable was a quad bike trip through the local terrain to view the wild life.
Discussing the best places to visit in the week following the diving, Vivianne was very helpful in setting up a tour itinerary which allowed us to visit the Volcano Arenal ( which was erupting), a guided walk to view the wildlife in the area of the Volcano, also the Tabacon hot springs. The itinerary included a memorable 3-day visit to Tortugero National Park, an area of tropical forests and waterways on the Caribbean side of Cost Rica which is teeming with wildlife - Toucans to Crocodiles.
We both had a good holiday in Costa Rica and I hope the above information is helpful to you.

Well, It's been a year since we were diving with you.
This February we went to Bonaire. It's a whole different dive experience! Beautiful, colorful fish and reefs.
Easy diving, calm waters - just great. No chance of whale sharks though! We relived our vacation at Blue
Bay and diving with you all at Resort Divers during this past trip and hands down, you were the greatest!
I still owe Martin a hat. Is he still with you? Let him know I haven't forgotten him and will send it in the mail.
I tried to make it to your place in November. I was in San Jose on business but had to leave unexpectedly.
Any time I have to leave Costa Rica is too soon! What a country!
