Our main office and departure of all activities is from Hotel Hilton Papagayo Resort at Playa Panama in the northwest of the country, about 30 minutes from Liberia and 15 minutes from Playa Del Coco.  (Map)

We provide free transportation from the area of Playa Ocotal, Playas Del Coco, Playa Hermosa and from hotel Allegro to our dive shop and back to your hotel. You can make reservations in advance or call our office upon arrival at your hotel. Use our Contact Us form for any request or if you want us to prepare a personalized package.

As a dive shop we offer daily 2-tank morning dives, night dives and the long range trips to Catalina and Bat Island. PADI Courses and Nitrox are available. Our local dives are for each level of experience and depart at 8:45 am to return around 12:30 – 1:00 pm and include: 2-tanks, weights, belt, guide, drinks and snacks.

COSTA RICA is the country of possibilities. Although this little gem is roughly ¼ the size of Florida, it is filled with an amazing abundance and diversity of life, both above and below the water. While the country is "up and coming" and known for its’ rainforests, volcanoes and ecological wealth, many people have never experienced scuba diving outside of the Caribbean. The underwater world off our Pacific Coast is overflowing with fish and marine life, big and small. Frogfish, sea turtles, white-tip reef sharks and manta rays are just a few of the exciting creatures that you are likely to find while diving Costa Rican waters.

The main airport of Costa Rica is located just outside of San Jose, the country's capital, and a scenic four-hour drive from the office of Resort Divers. This drive takes you through the beautiful countryside, which will give you the true feeling of being in Costa Rica, passing through the mountains, past green coffee fields and crossing many small towns and villages. You will even spot a volcano or two as you go.

In addition to the airport in San Jose, there is also the new international airport in Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste, which is located only 20 minutes from Resort Divers’ operations. The Liberia airport receives airplanes from various different charter companies throughout the year and has direct flights from Miami with American Airlines, from Atlanta with Delta Airlines and from Houston with Continental Airlines.

Once you are ready to dive, get ready for lots of fish! Our daily two tank dive trips are likely to be filled with big schools, moray eels of many varieties, sea turtles large and small, white-tipped reef and nurse sharks, and several different species of rays, including spotted eagle rays and mantas when in season! With over 20 different local dive sites to choose from, it isn’t easy to get bored. For divers with more experience we also provide long-distance trips to the Catalina and Bat Islands where we are more likely to find bigger ocean life, like Bull sharks, Barracuda and Mantas!!

Resort Divers also provides exciting activities for non-divers and divers alike, who wish to broaden their horizons! We take our 68 ft sailboat out for morning snorkel trips and for a relaxing sunset sail cruise in the afternoon. Drinks and snacks are plentiful, including a never-ending supply of beer and Resort Divers’ famous rumpunch!!

Since our coast is famous for big game fishing, we offer full and half-day trips. Many IGFA record size sailfish and marlin have been caught right in the area. Bottom fishing is available as well for those of you who go for quantity over size!!

Adventurers who love the water will enjoy the guided ride on a jetski which takes you to some of the most beautiful beaches of the gulf. You might even spot dolphins and turtles while going from one beach to another.

If water is not your thing, you may enjoy a trip on a 4-wheel ATV. Our A.T.V. tours are guided and take you through beautiful and rugged Costa Rican terrain, with many opportunities for animal encounters.

Besides all the above activities you can rent a scooter to explore the nearby beaches.
